About our Company History

The fish trading and manufacturing of smoked and dried fish was originally started by Mrs. Barrera’s grandparent way back in 1971. It was passed later on to Aurora, mother of Mrs. Barrera. Time came when Carmelita, being the oldest in the brood of ten, who from the very start have fully enjoyed assisting in the operations took over.

Due to constant hard work, determination and unfailing dedication combined with the sincerely generous support of Mrs. Barrera’s children, the business transforms from a small and very simple family industry into a multi-activity firm. It was then in 1989, when the business name was changed to “Carm Foods Enterprises” and later on to “CARM FOODS ENTERPRISE INCOPORATED” in 2013.

Despite the rapid technological advancement in our world today, Carm Foods remain steadily unshaken with its principle of ensuring product quality and safety. Preparation and processing of products are immediately done right after harvest. Carm Foods are known for its traditional and natural way of manufacturing process because they truly believed that for consumers, nothing replaces food value and the real Pinoy flavor.

Company Mission & Vision

The company aims to provide the public with safe and quality food products that complies with national and international standards (FAO #210, FAO # 212, PD 856, and CFR 123). It aims to create value to consumers and giving total satisfaction.

The adoption of HACCP by the company will lead us to meet regulatory requirements of the importing country. It also aims to upgrade production methods and a system that will make us more effective in the production of safety products.

The need to have a food safety program is becoming a must for every food processor. The need is driven by the consumers, the food industry and the public health agencies.


Food processors have the obligation to ensure they produce the safest food possible. This usually begins with effective controls and practices during the farm production. Then it continues through processing, distribution, retailing and consumer handling. Thousands of operations around the world use food safety programs in various stages of food production.


CARM FOODS ENTERPRISES INCORPORATED fully supports the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and HALAL program which is being continuously developed and implemented at our facility. All the staff is aware of the said program, to warrant, that our company produces safe and delectable processed seafood products.


In-house training programs are conducted to ensure that the management, as well as the staff, are well versed to the food safety program. As a result, they can easily follow all applicable HACCP and HALAL related procedures and policies whenever they are in the facility.

Carm Foods Enterprise Incorporated started in 1971 as a family business that produces smoked and dried fish products. As a small cottage industry, we have made a long way since then. We are continuously in pursuit in improving our company as a seafood processor. We have made a lifelong commitment to produce safe to eat food without sacrificing the quality and taste of the product. We accomplish this through implementation of a HACCP program that would guide us all the way to produce globally competitive processed food.


The top management, together with the staff, are involved in all aspects of production. As a result, we make a formidable team in producing a world class food product that would cater to our customers’ requirements. Our staffs understand our policy and our commitment to produce safe and tasty food. Our staffs are one of our important advantages against other existing seafood processor. We provide then with trainings and the necessary support to assist them in the continuous pursuit of safe to eat and delectable processed seafood.
